    lithium POLYMER batteries are prone to fire (not exploding) for over discharging or overcharging, IE ABUSE.

    LiMnPO4 (lithium manganense) does not have these problems, nor do LiFePO4 (lithoum ferrite). You can literally throw lithium ferrite batter in a fire and it wont even burn very well at all.

    Tesla uses a lithiom ion battery in the form of a zillion 18650s – the same lithium ion battery used in everyones vape…(gross habit)
