Thanks again for sharing your ideas on how to keep the battery running efficiently! Just like you said, you will want to make sure that you turn the ignition key off when you are done driving because then that safeguards the battery and protects it from harm. We have been thinking about getting a little electric cart, and I think that it would be good to make sure that the connections are clean of corrosion and dirt. Thanks again for the post!

I’ve always removed the battery caps when charging my car battery. The previous owner of my golf cart said they always kept the charger plugged in when not in use with the caps on. Is this ok? Our cart is a 2001Club Car 48v DS power drive plus system. It has a yellow lite on the (dash??). Will this lite come on when the batteries are low? I don’t know how often to charge the batteries. We don’t use it for golf; we live in a senior mobile home park so it doesn’t get the golf course type of use.

TWICE NOW I NOTICED THAT THE CAPS ARE OFF OF MY BATTERIES. iS THERE ANYWAY THAT THE GASES BUILT UP DURING THE CHARGING PROCESS COULD POP THE CAPS OFF?
